Our policies regarding refunds, cancellations, and billing for Glow subscriptions.
Refund Policy Summary
1. Overview
At Glow, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for our subscription services.
We believe in treating our customers fairly. If you're not happy with our service, we'll work with you to make it right, whether through a refund, account credit, or other resolution.
This policy applies to all subscription purchases made directly through Glow. If you subscribed through a third-party platform (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), please refer to that platform's refund policy, as we cannot process refunds for those purchases.
2. Subscription Plans
Glow offers the following subscription options:
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed at the beginning of each monthly billing cycle. They automatically renew each month until cancelled.
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed once per year at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing. They automatically renew each year until cancelled.
2.3 One-Time Purchases
Some features or add-ons may be available as one-time purchases. These are non-recurring charges that provide permanent access to specific features.
3. Free Trials
We may offer free trials to new users. During the trial period:
- You have full access to premium features
- No charge is made until the trial period ends
- You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged
- If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged
We will send you a reminder email before your trial ends. If you forget to cancel and are charged, you can request a refund within 7 days of the charge (see Section 5).
Tip: Set a reminder for yourself a day before your trial ends if you're not sure you want to continue.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Account Settings: Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription
- Email: Send a cancellation request to billing@www.yourglowapp.com
- Support: Contact our support team through the Help Center
4.2 Effect of Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You will not be charged for the next billing period
- After your subscription ends, you will lose access to premium features
- Your account and data will be retained, and you can resubscribe at any time
4.3 Cancellation Timing
We recommend cancelling at least 24 hours before your renewal date to ensure the cancellation is processed in time. Cancellations made on the renewal date may not take effect until the following billing cycle.
5. Refund Eligibility
5.1 New Subscriber Guarantee
If you're a new subscriber and not satisfied with Glow, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase. This applies to:
- First-time monthly subscription purchases
- First-time annual subscription purchases
- Charges after a free trial (if requested within 7 days of the charge)
5.2 Annual Plan Refunds
For annual subscriptions, the following refund options are available:
- Within 7 days: Full refund
- 8-30 days: Pro-rata refund minus a $10 processing fee (or equivalent in your currency)
- After 30 days: No refund, but you can cancel to prevent future renewal
5.3 Monthly Plan Refunds
For monthly subscriptions:
- Within 7 days of initial purchase: Full refund (new subscribers only)
- After 7 days or for renewal charges: No refund, but you can cancel to prevent future charges
5.4 Technical Issues
If you experience significant technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, and our support team is unable to resolve them, you may be eligible for a refund or account credit regardless of the above timelines. Please contact support with details of the issue.
5.5 Billing Errors
If you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charges, wrong amount, charged after cancellation), we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge. Please contact us within 60 days of the charge.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Email us at billing@www.yourglowapp.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include the following information:
- Your account email address
- Date of the charge
- Amount charged
- Reason for the refund request
- Wait for confirmation. We will review your request and respond within 2 business days
Note: Please do not dispute the charge with your bank before contacting us. We're happy to help resolve any issues directly, and chargebacks can result in additional fees and account restrictions (see Section 9).
7. Refund Processing
7.1 Processing Time
Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
- Bank Transfer: 5-10 business days
7.2 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot refund to a different payment method or issue cash refunds.
7.3 Currency and Exchange Rates
Refunds are issued in the currency of the original transaction. If exchange rates have changed since your purchase, the refund amount in your local currency may differ from the original charge. We are not responsible for any differences due to exchange rate fluctuations.
8. Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally not eligible for refunds:
- Monthly subscription renewals (after the 7-day new subscriber period)
- Annual subscriptions after 30 days from purchase
- Subscriptions purchased through third-party platforms (App Store, Google Play)
- Account credits or gift cards
- Consumable in-app purchases (if applicable)
- Services that have been fully rendered
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Use
However, we evaluate each situation individually. If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us and we'll do our best to find a fair solution.
9. Chargebacks
A chargeback (or dispute) is when you ask your bank or credit card company to reverse a charge. We strongly encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback, as:
- We can often resolve issues faster than the chargeback process
- Chargebacks result in additional fees that may be passed on to you
- Accounts with chargebacks may be suspended pending investigation
- Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we may suspend your account and access to the Service until the dispute is resolved. If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or unjustified, we reserve the right to pursue recovery of the funds and associated fees.
10. Price Changes
We may change our subscription prices from time to time. When we do:
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase
- You will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect
- If you cancel due to a price increase, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period
- Price decreases take effect immediately for new subscribers; existing subscribers can contact us to request the new pricing
Price changes do not entitle you to a refund of previous payments made at the old price.
11. Promotional Offers
From time to time, we may offer promotional pricing or discounts. These offers are subject to the following terms:
- Promotional prices are temporary and will revert to regular pricing after the promotional period
- Promotional offers may have specific eligibility requirements
- Promotional offers cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated
- If you received a promotional discount and request a refund, the refund amount will be based on the amount actually paid, not the regular price
12. Account Credits
In some cases, we may offer account credits as an alternative to a cash refund. Account credits can be used toward future subscription payments or purchases.
- Account credits do not expire
- Account credits cannot be transferred to another account
- Account credits cannot be redeemed for cash
- If your account is terminated, any remaining credits will be forfeited
If you prefer a cash refund over account credit, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate your preference (subject to refund eligibility).
13. Regional Considerations
13.1 European Union
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw from distance contracts within 14 days without giving any reason (the "cooling-off period"). However, by starting to use our Service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed.
13.2 United Kingdom
UK consumers have similar rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. The same conditions apply as described above for EU consumers.
13.3 Australia
Australian consumers may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
13.4 Other Regions
If you are located in a region with specific consumer protection laws that provide additional refund rights, those laws will apply in addition to this policy.
